Brief Description:  Left Wing Lower skin

Today was going to be a good day... or so I thought. It started out with a trip to Oshkosh to help Greg install DSL at his daughters apartment then Greg was going to help rivet the lower wing panel on the left wing. Sherri and I had preped the wing yesterday so it was all ready for us to enjoy the afternoon watching football and riveting. What could be better? Well, a little more than half way through with only a few minor smiley's something caught my eye on the rear spar, an un-countersunk spar???? I began to have a panick attack on why the spar wasn't countersunk, then I looked at the ribs and noticed that the ribs where not dimpled. I sat down and all most cryed. Yup, I missed one small step! That's what I get for not moving on to the Left right after the right wing. It was so much of a Bone head mistake that it didn't bother me that much. I felt bad for taking up Greg's time more than any thing. But as Greg put it, "I would have been home just watching football any way". Thanks for the support Greg, I appreciate it! Oh well time to drill out the panel. Sorry, not pictures of that, but it went well without to many over sized holes. I've became a very good driller now. I can pretty much hit the middle of the rivet every time. The wing is now dimpled and ready for a new day.
