Brief Description:  Flight to the Mississippi River

Greg and I took a flight out to the Mississippi River this morning. We left about 8:45am. In the Cessna it took over 2 hrs to get there since there was a head wind and we stopped once at Viroqua (Y51) for a potty break. To much coffee this morning. Viroqua is a Ghost town but the facilities were nice. Not a sole in site. The flight took us just South of La Crosse (LSE) then we transitioned through LSE Airspace down the River to Prairie du Chien Municipal Airport (PDC). Greg is a Tournament Bass Fisherman and wanted to Scout the River for its many Slews. This river is unbelievable. You can really get lost in a boat if you don't know what you are doing. When we taxied over to the FBO what did we find? An RV7A with it's owner getting ready to leave. Well, I had to stop that. We hopped out and ran over to talk to him. See the other record for today for pictures and the name of the owner. At PDC, we had the standard $100 hamburger, well it was really Chineese food. A nice buffet ($5.50) for lunch.
