Dad and I went to Avery tool this morning and picked up some needed items. We needed a drill bushing for the elevator bearing. I finally bit the bullet on a nutplate jig, and I went ahead and got the static pitot kit from Safe Air along with a pitot mast and remote compass mount. I want to close up the wings while dad is here and felt like these would expidite the process.
After we got home we began work on the elevators. We drilled the horns for the bearing bolt. Clearanced the rear spar for the horns. Checked the range of motion and then set up to drill for the push rod bolt.
