Brief Description:  front spar completion (almost)

front spar. took off the one doubler which i wasn't happy with (1mm gap between doubler and spar flange). the new one i did turned out to be much more flush than the previous.

used the 233mm x ~90mm x 3/4" oak template -- which was pretty square.. i could have sanded a couple spots down to make it perfect.. but i don't think that was necessary. maybe there is some gaps of about the width of a hair or 1/2 of a hair in some spots.

centered the template up with the centerline on the spar. used a square to align it with the top of the spar. put the thin attachment doublers up against each side of the template. and cleco'd into place from behind using the pre-drilled holes (3) in the spar.

then i screwed up the front spar attachment. i aligned the top of the attachments up with their doublers. then i back-drilled 4 holes and cleco'd. no problem.

i was supposed to drill 3 A5 holes through the attachment and its doubler. i spread the holes out along the length of the attachment. i forgot to take into account that the doubler isnt the same length. may be salvagable, but this is a critical piece so i will most likely replace and redo this.
