working on the front spar. this part is symmetrical. added a upper and lower doubler. drilled and cleco'd. noticed that on the side that i marked as the "bottom" part of the spar, the doubler is not up against the spar's flange. there is about a 1mm space between the two. it takes only very light pressure to press the doubler up against the spar.
not sure if this is a real issue. i will back-burner this one for now and continue with finishing the rudder when i receive the order of primer.
update: decided to replace doubler -- coming Monday.
