Brief Description:  Vertical stab

Spent the afternoon reviewing my progress and looking ahead at the next Steps. Still not sure if I am going to put in a VOR/ILS and looking at options for my autopilot servos. Found a few areas that I will have to massage prior to riveting. It looks like I will have to roll my corners a little bit more to get the side skins to lay flat on the bottom half of the bulkheads. If I riveted them now I would have some puckers. .025 shims would prevent them but I think I can work the skins enough that I won't need any. I also bought a service cart to organize my tools since I need most of the workbench now. Didn't need to put the vertical staiblizer on yet but I had to see what it looked like, so I brought it down from the attic and installed it. Used a smart level to confirm it was vertical with the fuselage. Randy at Rans says they have made a reamer that allows you to ream the spars to the carrythrough after the fuse is together. My wings I am told are eight to twelve weeks away so I may mate all the pieces but not sure yet. I guess the good news is I have plenty of time to pay attention to detail.
