When putting on the leading edge the manual says to round the ribs so as not to dimple the skin. I wonder just what that means. I polished the ribs with a scotchbrite wheel however after riveting found two small dimples wher the ribs laid. I used a 2x4 on the skins to flatten them out so they wouldn't pucker at the ribs but I still got some dimples. I thought that if I hadn't shaped the skins until after drilling I may not have the dimples. I think that is probably wrong. I red a post on Rans Clan where Mike clecoed a 1 1/4 PVC in the leading edge before bending, making the leading edge more of a U instead of a sharp V. I think this is probably the way to do it. Also when using tape to pull the leading edge to the line drawn on the skin I had a lot of trouble grtting the top and bottom of the skin to line up. I moved the tape so that it was 90 degrees to the aft spar and pulled it torward the aft spar and bingo it fell in place perfectly. I don't know if this was by chance or by design but it worked. If this works for anybody else let me know.
