Brief Description:  Flight 19

Took a 1 hour flight today, had to stay low under Dab class C then I climbed up to 6500. Started out at 1500 FPM at 90 Knots and at 6000 I could maintain 1000 FPM at 76 Knots. Leveled out and set 2750 RPM and the speed settled at 111 Knots TAS and 5.3 GPH. The needle jet transitions to rich right around 2850 so I could take just a bit of pitch out of the propeller but it's good for now. I took the roll sensitivity down to 5 and and I'm very pleased with the autopilot. CHT,oil temp and pressure are all normal, my only issue with the engine are the number 5 EGT and the higher fuel flow required to deal with it. I'm working on an airbox design to fix that. I punched the baro knob on the AP74 which brought up altitude window and set 1200 feet then pulled the power back to 2600 RPM and the autopilot took me down to 1200 feet at the programed rate of 500FPM and leveled off very nicely. The auto pilot is rock solid in all modes. On landing the nosewheel once again was cocked to the right, I will adress that before the next flight. My airplane then went to the Chapter 288 EAA meeting for static display. Had about 150 members attend and the S19 was a big hit.
