Brief Description:  Flight # 3

Came up with a way to set my prop pitch with a smart level. The big problem is that the back of the blade is curved making it difficult to repeat your numbers but I found a way to do it and re set the pitch. I was .5 degree out. I also added the air dams to the right cooling shroud as the #6 cylinder was running too cool. I took off and beoke ground in about 400 feet climbed out and made a full power run downwind. RPM is still a little low but no vibration so I left the pattern. Climbed to 2000 feet and engaged the auto pilot. It worked well but I only used it for about 45 seconds. Cleared the aera and performed a power off stall, it broke stright ahead with no trend to roll. I held it in the stall for awhile the relaxed back pressure and it was flying again. Made a number of power changes then returned to field and landed. I download the EMS data after each flight and study the numbers. Everything is OK except for the CHT which needt to be balanced just a little more on the left bank and an EGT problem which has to be solved. The EGT's are running higher than they should with the # 5 cylinder being the hotest. I can try to balance them by rotating the carb but I think rejetting may be required. Going to sun-in-fun tomorrow and I will tald with the jabiru folks.
