The cowl came with a fiberglass oil door but I thought it was too thick and would not fair into the cowling all that well so I made one out of some .025 aluminum. With the compound curves it was a challenge but I managed to get a pretty good fit, a lot better than the glass anyway. Cut the center hole in the cowl and trimmed a few places. Heated the cooling shrouds and bent the inlets to match the cowl they are closer but I still have a way to go. I may have to cut them to open them up then reglass them but I haven't given up on shaping the with heat yet.
