--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Guys - I recently acquired an Acroduster Too project so I'm new to your forum so be gentle.

To put it mildly I'm short and have noticed that even simulating the chute with 4" cushion seat and back reaching the rudder pedals is still a bit of a stretch. I've always like to be a little closer to things so was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to modify the plans build rudder pedal location so it would be less of a stretch? I saw one comfort idea of making the front seat back more of a "V" which might help some but though maybe others might have some other suggestions?

Thanks for the help!

Rich

Before you do anything to the seatback (or cushioning) to push you further forward, look at how it might affect your ability to pull the stick all the way back. You should also consider how it affects ease of cockpit access, especially the ability to egress should it ever become necessary to bail out.

Rich,
Our problem when we acquired 363J was the opposite - pedals too close for comfort. So we added a short link at the rear pedals to make the cables effectively longer and put the pedals further away. That resulted in the brake pedals being too far away and almost impossible to obtain effective braking when large amounts of rudder deflection were required. We solved that by adjusting the pivot points on the brake pedals.
