Bruce Frank and Marl - Thank you for your suggestions and clever gadget idea. So it looks like the moral of the story is back 4 steps forward 1 step with multiple parts in the "Nice Try" bucket. Be careful what you do beyond center as the results and consequences could be extremely undesirable.

So with that gizmo it could be possible to build it initially adjustable and experiment making sure I maintain break effectiveness as I tilt the pedal aft to meet my desired comfort level.

I mentioned the 4" as the parachute thickness. I don't have one yet so I wasn't sure how thick a surface I'd really be sitting on and have behind me. I won't do anything to hinder egress if it comes to that but my philosophy of life when it comes to parachuting has always been “Why get out of a perfectly good airplane”. If you guys have a better idea what standard to use for figuring what forward and upward boost I'd get from the parachute it would be helpful. I imagine "It depends!" as there are probably a multitude of sizes shaped and manufacturers.

As I was searching for information to see if the question had been answered before I also found a previous post regarding break pedals in the front seat. I only had to read forward tip over once to go out to the hanger and remove the break pedal from the front seat this evening. I believe one of you said rudder front good break front not so good.

This is actually my second Acroduster Too project I helped a friend build one 20 or so years ago but moved up to Northern CA before he completed it. Unfortunately he taxied into a runway sign in Casper WY on his way back from Oshkosh in the early to mid 90's destroying the aircraft. Luckily he only hurt his pride. He's taller than I am so he didn't have these issues, built to the plan worked for him.
