Brief Description: Aircraft Spruce Forum Q&A 20090521-B Rudder Pedals
|
|
The moral of this story is: look at and trial fit all of your options beforecommitting them to metal - you may be surprised by the law of unintended consequences.
Having said the above, I recall seeing ugly pedal extensions in an S-2B but not sure how they finesed the brakes. I also recall seeing a neat rudder cable length insert/adjuster in an S-2B to make the cables shorter. I may have a pic of the latter. _________________ Marl

Yes that is it. A really neat gadget. In this case Rich could intentionally make the rudder cables longer than he needed, use the device and be able to revert the AD to giants whenever he needed!
When did I make the original posting of that Pic? _________________ Marl

I just happened to be looking at the pics on the old SD board today trying to figure out a way to get better access to them----- _________________ frank

The pic is of Julia Wood's S-2B and was taken September 2002 at Grayson County Airport, TX during the Nationals. I'll go back and see if that plane also had pedal extenders. _________________
