Brief Description: Completed left flapperon, started right
Match drilled A-1210 nose ribs to A-1201A-L skin. Deburred.
Installed A-1201A-L and A-1201-B skins.
Started on Right flapperon.
Built the skeleton and installed counterbalance assembly.
Using same setting on edge squeezing tool as for Left flapperon, squeezed trailing edges on A-1202-L and A-1202B. The fit was perfect!
Rivetted skins to main ribs. Still had trouble getting a flush result when rivetting the trailing rivets on the second side. The first side rivets interfere and they must set after the pulling is started. Perhaps it would be better to use shorter rivets. Will suggest to Vans.
Fit and rivetted the A-1201C-R skin over the counterbalance.
