Brief Description: Fuel pressure regulator; second taxi tests
Replaced the defective factory pressure regulator with an Aeroquip adjustable regulator and set it to 42 PSI. Temporary install with brass hardware store bushings. Engine is back to running correctly at the correct fuel pressure.
Taxi tests: run it hard. This boy wants to fly wtih 65 HP.
Left a 3/8 combination wrench and a socket wrench on top of the fuel tank, or maybe the motor mount. One or both went through the prop. Badly damaged the tip of blade #2 and put a hard ding closer to the root of blade #3. Blade 2 is out of service and blades 1 and 3 were remounted in the 2-blade configuration for remaining weekend work.
These are 97 gram blades, 60". Existing hub appears to be fine. Called IvoProp on Friday and ordered a new hub and four new blades. Will hold 3 until the airworthiness inspection.
