Returned to the project after a week long trip to Palm Desert for golf and also a visit with my son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren.
Although Van's says platenuts can be fasted to fiberglass tips, (unless you are riveting the tip on) I elected to install aluminum strips for extra strength. I predrilled the strips and tips to match the wing #6 dimpled holes. In the photo, I have epoxyed the strips and clecoed in place to cure.
