Played golf this morning. Grandson (17 years) arrived today to do some work in town. He does not start work until Wednesday, so being a good grandfather, I decided to put him to work and show him some of the art of aircraft fabrication.
CJ caught on quick to deburring and smoothing the cut edges of ribs and spars. We then went back to the VS to add 12 platenuts to the root rib; which meant removing all the clecos and dissassembling the VS - which was ready for riveting. I was able to show CJ how to install the nutplates and how to dimple and rivet.
I will probably re-assemble the VS and rivet tomorrow. Then back to the rudder assembly.
