Brief Description:  Finish work on cowling

I now have a total of 24 hours doing finish work on the outside of the upper and lower cowl pieces. Very tedious work. Using a product called U-pol Liquid Gold glazing putty. It is pourable and used a catalyst to harden it. It is sandable in 20 minutes, they say; but overnight is easier sanding - doesn't clog the paper so bad. Actually, it is quite easy to use. There are lots of little pinholes in these cowl pieces that have to be filled; sometimes taking 3 or 4 applications before you get them all.
I will take them to a body shop to have them shot with several coats of gray primer.
