Brief Description:  Primed Rudder Skins

Today I completed the priming by doing the Rudder skins. I ran through the same procedure as yesterday, however, it was very hot and windy today and as a result, the skins dried very fast. I should have increased the paint flow to reduce the speed at which it dried.

Procedure was:

Wipe down with Acetone to remove any oils.
Wash in Stewarts EKoClean heavy duty cleaner.
Rinse
Soak in Stewarts Eko Etch solution for 3 minutes.
Rinse
Soak in a 33% solution of Alodine 1201 for as long as needed to bring up colour.
Rinse
Hang to Dry
Spray with Stewarts Eko Prme using a 1.3mm nozzle in the DeVILBISS GTI-620G Millennium spray gun.

The skins turned well
