I spent 3 hours today in the space suit preparing and alodining the skins then I did the prime of all the parts, including the ribs and skins. The temperature was about 33 degrees celcius and there was quite a lot of wind around. Another bad bush fire day in NSW.
Overall I was not particularly happy with the quality of the prime as I was trying to keep a thin coverage so everything ended up a bit dry, particularly the skins. However it is fit for purpose. I am thinking that in future I might set up a plastic curtain in the garage, attached to the garage door track and a couple of drop sheets to keep the floor clean in future as it would cut down on the enviromental impacts. I could work on top of the priming tanks. Food for thought.
