Given that I am unable to finish work on the Rudder TE, I continued work on the HS. This time it was the Forward spar.
The first task is deburring. Argh I am getting tired of deburring spars.
I did the doubler first which went very well. It is worth noting that the flange rivets are not all at the same edge distance. Some are a long way from the edge and some are very close to the edge and care needs to be taken when deburring near them. I dont know if it is just me that tries to get rid of all the shear marks, but I seem to be having a lot more edge distance issues that most people. When I match drill the flange and the skin, I will have to check them again to see if I have violated the edge distance rules. I calculate that it should be ok at present, but will check again when I get the skin match drilled.
