Having completed the lower rivets, I removed the clecos needed to access the top section of the front spar and Ryan and I shot those. I was expecting to have to removea about 20, but I found I needed to remove all the rear spar, most of the top Rib, all but four of the middle rib and all but 8 of the bottom rib. Had I not reinstalled the bottom rib, this might have been a bit different, but I was surprised that theere was so little flxibility in the skin. A good thing I think.
Overall I am very pleased with the results. They are a lot better than those on the middle nose rib which were our first driven rivets.
At this stage, I am ready to take the part to Ken Garland for an inspection before I close up the rear spar.
