Disaster! While trying to install the counterbalance assembly, the tab ripped. At the end of the day, I will need to rebuild the entire left elevator. Ugh! After researching the topic, seems like the correct method is to attach the counterbalance assembly to the spar before attaching the spar to the skin. Frustrating!
