Brief Description: Finished riveting and scotchbrited skins
Finished riveting the rudder and scotchbrited the skins to smooth out the scratches and prep it for paint. At the end of the day, I have decided to change to an RV-12. My reasons: (1) trimming of sheet metal / plastic is unneccesary and difficult, (2) lack of fully pre-punched pieces makes alignment difficult, (3) ABS plastic parts in leiu of fiberglass is a reflection of poor quality and (4) instructions/manual is poor. Sorry Zenith, but Vans makes a much higher quality product for a similar price.
