Today I worked on connecting the cabin heater control cable. It's not the best system for the heater control using such a stiff cable. I have tried to figure out a better system but failed. There are hundreds of Sling4 flying around in the world using this system, so it must work OK. I shortened the cable and installed the " Cable Adjuster " I have routed the bowden cable behind the instrument panel with sweeping turns. The cable passes through the firewall on an angle passing through a rubber grommet. I will tape around the grommet on the engine side to minimise any leaks. The heater controller seems to work quite well, with a reasonably smooth motion and not too stiff.
