Started on the engine cowls today which is a job I have been dreading. The top cowl is quite long on the longitudinal axis, which was making it difficult to place it in position. I have cut the top cowl back which makes it easier to handle. The new top cowl has a "pimple" for the external alternator, something I have never seen on a Sling aircraft, external alternator or not. Not sure what I'm going to do about that, it's not required and does not look too good.
