Worked on connecting the external alternator wiring. The wires are now connected and the alternator appears to test ok with the correct indication on the instrument panel. The only way I will know if it's ok is when I finally start the engine. I was not game enough to cut the wires to exact length so I have left some surplus wire which may have to be trimmed in the future.
