Spent a couple of hours working on the engine cowling. Mine is an early edition cowling and has " nostrils " on the air intakes. I have an external alternator and the cowling will not fit over the alternator with the nostrils. AEC gave me a hand to remove the nostrils with the dremel. I have completed the external alternator side, the other is yet to be done. Now I know how much of the nostril needs to be removed I will do the same on the opposite side.
