Yesterday was a horrible day with bush fires burning North, South and East of us and choking smoke filling the air. We are safe here in Bowral at the moment and today is not as bad with lower temps. and moderate winds. Many road closures and evacuations in the Southern Highlands. I took these photos ( from our front yard ) of what the Met. people are calling "Pyro-Cumulonimbus Cloud" generated by the heat from the bush fires. They can extend up to 12 kms high and having lightning and sadly little rain. Our country is in trouble and it will not stop until we get some good soaking rain.
