Our "Artex 345 ELT " arrived today. The base plate has many 4.8mm holes pre-drilled. Most ELT's would be riveted from base plate down, however, I will be riveting from underneath ( tail into base plate ). After advise from CM, I decided to drill eight 3.2mm holes close to the edge of the base plate, which will allow the tails of the rivets not to interfere with the ELT unit.
