Brief Description:  TAF

This week I visited TAF with Des ( BDH ) and Gary (GAM ).
Gary is Des's friend from school days as well as working with him as an engineer at Qantas.
Des and I operated QFA 63 to JNB and Gary passengered over for our 72 hour slip in JNB.
My instrument panel wiring has been completed and TAF installed their G3X, autopilot control, radio etc to test the wiring.
I have VPX installed and the factory are looking at it's suitability for their aircraft, as it saves time, space ( few C/B's ) and maybe cost.
We decided not to have the fuel pumps going through VPX, so I only have two C/B's on the panel.
Photo 3. shows one C/B, we have since installed another beside it, making two C/B's. on the panel.
It has been a busy couple of weeks, JAC came to a simulator session with me and flew the B747 sim for about an hour, which he did very well.
It was nice to have him with me in the simulator.
Flying with BDH to Johannesburg and return, was an absolute pleasure, and Gary coming with us to South Africa and visiting TAF made the trip even more memorable.
