In Australia it is a CASA requirement to have a " Manufacturer's Data Plate " installed on the aircraft. I have drilled the holes for the plate to be riveted on the rear fuselage under the elevator, this is the most common place by far. The plate still needs to be engraved with aircraft model, serial number, date of mfg, max weight, engine type, horse power and builders name. Once the plate engraving is completed I will permanently install it on the rear fuselage.
