Brief Description: Locate & Drill Final Main Beam Support
An additional bolt was installed in in each side of the rear spar box to help resist the twisting moment from the landing gear. Positioned this bolt just aft of the landing gear socket in the horizontal weldment at the side of the rear truss just forward of the flap torque tube attach bracket. Measured location to center the boltin the horizontal weldment and transfered that location to the outside of the fuselage. Drilled through the fuselage and horizontal weldment. Installed AN5 wide area washers as needed for spacers between weldment and fuselage and secured from outside to inside through the spacer washers and completed with a An365-524 nylock nut.
