Brief Description: Argh! Catch-up post on my fuse front side skin is
I have not posted in a while since I was going back and forth with Zenith over the apparent mis-alignment of the pre-drilled holes on the front side fuselage skins (6B11-2). All of my structure lined up perfectly according to the plans (level, correct angles on the firewall, etc) but the pre-drilled side skins did not line up. After going back and forth with Nick and Caleb, I found out others have had the same issue. There suggestion was to just "push the floor down and rivet it to the sides....at which I said "no!" I went today up to Midland and bought a 4 x 12 sheet of 6061T 0.025 sheet and will remake the skins to the match my fuselage. Ironically, both Nick and Caleb say my fuse structure is at the exact right angles, but the skins should fit......how can that be?
Anyway, enough fixation on the problem and the two weeks I lost waiting for an answer...onward!
