Diagnosed why the engine would crank and crank but not start. Used spark plug checker and OHM meter but found not problems. I then tried wd-40 down the cyclinders but nothing. Then I tried a little shot of starting fluid in the air cleaners. She started up but at 4K plus RPMs again. Damn it! The throttle cable must have slipped or something. That is why it wouldn't start. Starting throttle and 3/4 throttle don't mix. I let it run a increased RPM until the header tank was emptied.
