Brief Description:  Landing Gear Fairings

Removed some of the zipties and adel clamps and situated the rubber tape on gear every six inches. Wrapped the stratoflex hose with one layer of one-wrap velcro and then wrapped around gear leg one time and then over one half of the gear.
After doing this at all locations I believe this is much better than the paper "reinforced paper packing tape" called for in the plans and as I fitted the fairings over the "one wrap" it offered a great benefit of anti-chaffing.
Fitted the gear leg fairing over the gear legs and cut the .063 hinge pieces and hinge pins to length per plans. Marked the rivet hole locations and fitted the hinge inside the gear leg fairing. Drilled and clecoed, disassembled and deburred parts. Countersunk the fairing and riveted the hinges into the gear leg fairings.
Installed one of the fairings on the right gear leg and the fit was great. The hinge pin took a lot of bend to get it installed with the wheel on, but it worked in just fine. I will wire-tie it once the final install is done.
