Brief Description:  Tack Welding Cockpit Area

Re-checked on all alignment to ensure all tube fittings are in order (40 minutes). There after begins with tack weld starting from the top front longeron towards the back. Mid way, the horizontal tube for the aft cockpit floor (near the square tubing) got burnt at the tips and this was replaced with a new tubing. (3.10 hrs). Once completed the front fuselage was bent both side. It took quite a while to bent the tube. The tube was heated up to cherry red at the top and bottom of the instrument side. It is difficult at first. The bent was first done at the bottom end and than it was pushed towards the wooden block where it is than clamp. The top tubewas done after the bottom part is completed.Once eveything is clamp up the bent is again heated up to a cherry red to ensure a complete bend. Right angle square was used to ensure that it is square.
