Today i cut the hole in the rear spar for the aileron control rod. I was a bit sceptical about using a hole saw to cut the hole, considering my previous experience using a hole saw and its tendancy to grab the aluminum and potnetially cause a kink or bend in the material. My fears were unfounded. The clearance between the radius of the rear span and the hole is virtually non exsistant and it seems like this would weaken the rear spar. I;ve checked other people's logs and it looks like they are doing the same thing. I guess it is ok.
