During one lot of taxiing tests I tight turned to backtrack and the tailwheel arm bent from being pulled over centre so I got out and disconnected the chains leaving me with a free castering tailwheel. At taxi speeds the rudder by itself has no affect on directional control however using the differential brakes was a breeze to keep the LE straight. I was always a bit concerned about the lightweight build of my original tailwheel arms. I cut them off and drilled through the caster to take the 4130 rod. I welded 4130 tubes to the arms and flattened and drilled the ends. Really happy with the result and now have zero flex.
