I opted to build the throttle per the plans as it seems very simple and light by design.
Finding a leather washer was impossible so I have used 3 fibre washers. The 1/4" bolt and nut in the pic is just temporary until the AN4 one arrives along with the $4.85 AN350-4 wingnut. I have used 2 x springs to get the right amount of pressure on the throttle arm. The black knob is off a kettle lid. Even without the lightening hole in the base plate, the throttle weighs in at 73 grams or 2.6oz.
