I have chosen to use .025" 6061T6 for the side panels instead of fabric as I was concerned that my outturned feet on the rudder pedals might rub the fabric. Used a cardboard template and then transferred to the ally sheet. Cut out relief areas where the landing gear mounts are and then used the bend brake to put some diagonal creases in them to add rigidity and stop drumming in flight. They fit in behind the firewall as well as the windscreen and get secured with screws and adel clamps.
At the end of each day I cover the aircraft beginning with a tarp over the prop and engine...always a bit of a shock for the unannounced visitors.
