After epoxying in timbers that will stop the fuel tank from moving forward/aft & side to side, I cut up a rubber yoga mat as a supporting base for the fuel tank to rest on. Should I experience any negative G, tie downs will stop the tank from lifting. The straps are rated at 100kg each. The buckles are facing the inner side of the wing should adjustments ever need to be made. I am not covering the inner side of the wing root with fabric but will screw on a thin sheet of clear Lexan as I plan to run clear tubing diagonally from rear bottom to the forward top as a fuel sight gauge. The tanks are partially translucent and I may be able to see fuel in them but it is easier to build the site gauge in now rather than find I need one down the track.
