Fishmouthing the 5/8" x .035" tubing has become very second nature. Eyeball the angle, grind with the flap wheel and then fine tune. In order to have the pivot point 'stub' exactly horizontal and level to the firewall, I sized the long tubes to the painted 9" position on the crossmember then held with the locking C-clamp. After welding both pivot tubes they were then cut 2-1/2" long and the pedals slipped straight on. Will drill the stub and set the 1/16" cotter pin later.
