The top tube measures 29" long and sits 1" lower at the rear. I have cut the tube a few inches longer and will trim to the exact length after welding has finished. As the workbench is level, the use of a plumb bob helps get the top tube perfectly centred above the centreline marked on the table over 43" below. Can't argue with gravity. The rear cabanes as well as leaning in toward the centre to meet the top tube also lean forward about 5 degrees so need to be fishmouthed accordingly. Tacked in place top and bottom, I can now move onto the forward cabanes.
