Brief Description:  Strut fittings

Before covering the leading edge with plywood I need to epoxy the strut fittings and soon discover it would have been easier to drill them before adding the nose ribs and leading edge timber.
The jig block sets the main spar strut fitting 1" above the spar and 64" from the root. The rear spar jig hole is 3/4" above the spar and still 64" from the root.

Fitting epoxied in place. AN4-16A bolts, thin lightweight aluminium washers (AN960PD-416L) and AN364-428A low profile elastic stop nuts finish off the fittings. Given the forces will be acting in shear I chose to go with low profile stop nuts to save weight. Same for the aluminium to save weight.
