Brief Description: Lightening holes
|
|
Adding lightening holes to the spar webbing.
Marking out the exact locations before hand drilling the 1/4" pilot holes.
To avoid splintering I am cutting from both sides using the drill press with the stop set to NOT drill through the entire way.
Flip the spar over and finish off the holes.
Over 1/2 lb weight saving per wing.
