Cut the spruce for the main spar and layed out on the clear plastic sheeting. All chocked up nicely.

At this point I disassembled the spar and sanded each surface of timber where epoxy WAS NOT going to be applied. 240 grit sandpaper left the surfaces very smooth so as to not absorb heaps of varnish when the time comes. The areas that ARE going to be epoxied either now or in the future are not sanded in order to allow better absorption of the T88.

I printed out the ratio sheet for the T88 epoxy to make on the fly calculations easy. 100/83 by weight - resin to hardener.

Applied the T88 to both surfaces which gave time for it to soak in before mating the timbers back together.
