Brief Description: Finished F-706 bulkhead
|

Haven't done much work this week, been downtown at Grady Hospital a lot checking on our daughter's husband who was seriously injured in a traffic accident last week. But got some time Saturday to finish this bulkhead up. After dimpling the appropriate holes, I cleaned up the pieces with acetone to get the finger marks off, then primed them and started riveting. The first two rivets I squeezed were two that were supposed to be left out, so will get some more drilling out practice. Also went ahead and built the bellcrank in the elevator linkage, just because I felt like making a moving part, and made sure it fit properly. It will be left out for now, though. With the bellcrank rib sticking out the back, it will be clumsy to store somewhere, but that's a small problem.

The main intersection all riveted. The two on the left will be drilled out, they were to be omitted.

The completed F-706 bulkhead, now have to find a place to store it.
