Brief Description:  Had to drill out rivets on the right flap

After drilling the right flap hinge to the wing skin and flap brace, I cut out the middle hinge loops per the instructions (as I remembered them), to allow inserting the hinge pins from the center. Then discovered that I remembered wrong, I was supposed to remove one loop from the flap side of the hinge, and two loops from the wing side. Instead, I had removed two from the flap side and three from the wing side. So, decided to drill out the hinge to flap rivets, all 57 of them, but who's counting? Ordered a new hinge from Spruce. I decided to use the drill press to do the job, thought it would go much quicker and easier. And I was right, until the tip of the drill broke off in one of the rivets. Had no clue how I would get it out without damaging the surrounding aluminum parts. Turned out I was able to get to the back side and cut off the set part of the rivet with a pair of dikes, then push the whole thing out. No more cheap drill bits.

Got the new hinge drilled to the flap skin, decided to call it a night.

Tip of drill bit. No more cheap drill bits, even if drilling only aluminum (mostly).
