Brief Description:  Put the baffle and attach angles on the right tank

Had other things I had to do the last couple of nights, but my buddy Steve Ashby and I got our schedules together tonight and attacked the baffle for the right tank. Before we could start, I discovered this morning that the nozzle tip for the sealant cartridge was not in the bag with the cartridge, so I figured I would have to go down to Peachtree City to Aircraft Spruce (50 miles+/-) and pick up a new tube, or cartridge. Before I went, I googled the manufacturer of the sealant, FlameMaster, to ask if they had a retailer anywhere in the Atlanta area. Turns out they did, but they have a minimum purchase of $50.00, so I would have to buy 4. As I was hanging up, I thought to ask him if he had any idea where I could get a nozzle tip for the cartridge, because that was all I really needed. He laughed and said come on over. I did, they were only about 6 miles from the house, and when I got there he had two nozzles in a bag; turns out they package the sealant in the tubes right there in his back room. So, I figured the sealant was made in California, shipped in bulk to Norcross, Georgia, near my house, put in caulking gun type cartridges there, shipped to Aurora Oregon to Van's, and then back to me in Tucker, GA.

So, Steve and I got the stuff mixed, laid a bead down with the nozzle tip I had gotten, dropped the baffle in place, clecoed everything together, at every hole in the tank skin to baffle joints, and then began riveting. We got all the rivets done and called it a night. I had left the cover plate off the inboard rib to allow checking the sealant at the baffle joint from the inside, in the first bay anyway.

After Steve headed home, I decided to celebrate by getting a beer out of the small fridge I keep down here in my basement office/airplane factory. Guess what I saw? An outdated sealant cartridge on the door shelf, with a nozzle in the bag with it. Felt stupid as hell. Senility Sucketh!!

The tank interior at the first bay, the baffle is on the right. Joint doesn't look too bad.
